Then something caught Ryn’s eye. Dagan’s move to catch her hand had nudged his notebook and the motion had caused an object wedged between the pages to poke out. As quick as the eye could blink, Ryn’s hand flew across the table and snatched the thing from the book, and held it up before her eyes.
